Plant Health Care
Plant health care (PHC) is about maintaining or improving the health of plants in your landscape. This is done through many services that I provide:
-
Cleaning tree trunk wounds so they can heal properly
-
Removing rotten wood to prevent further issues for the tree
-
Digging out the root flare of trees and shrubs so they don't rot at the base
-
Pruning girdling roots that will stunt or damage the tree
-
Fertilize the plants to maximize flowers, fruits or growth
-
Amend soils to improve the conditions for the plants
-
Vertical mulching drills holes in the ground to place better soil and fertilizer where deep rooted plants can get to it and thrive
Plant care of trees, shrubs and other garden plants, I charge $65 per hour plus any materials such as fertilizers or chemicals for treatment.
Common Questions
-How long does PHC take? Most of the time the various PHC services take around 2 hours but of course this can vary depending on the size of the site or the particular care im giving. That being said, getting plants back into good health can take years so getting on a scheduled visit will help continue the plant's progress instead of a one-time booster. -How much does PHC cost? This will widely vary depending on which services im conducting but for a couple hours it could go from $110 to $500 or more. If there are nutrients or other chemicals, it can increase the price quite a bit. -Are my PHC services guaranteed to cure/"fix" the issues with your plants? I wish it was that simple. Just like humans there are so many factors to a plant's health. In most cases, what i do for your plants will help them but sometimes its too late or there are other factors that make the plant decline.
